How I Experience Pleasure Through Sensual Travel

With large gatherings and close proximity to others out of the question, the pandemic has interrupted the ways in which we traditionally connect with our desires. But that doesn’t mean you still can’t find new ways to experience pleasure! We asked travel blogger Maajoa Yeboah to share how solo travel is a conduit for her sensuality.

Rolling waves and endless sunshine. What’s not to love? Beach vacations have always been some of my  favorite breaks. They are good for your mind, body, and soul, but it’s sometimes tough to find the  perfect words to capture your emotions.  

Butre Beach is the perfect “lovers joint”, “singles escape”, “family vacay” and everything amazing you will need from a beach. 

I visited for the serenity and fresh seafood and fell in love with the calm evenings, tidy tranquil beach,  and how comfortable I felt being out there. 

Located approximately two hours from Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana, this little beach  destination is a beautiful paradise  

The beach and its quirky, simple but decent accommodation called Hideout Lodge wasn’t even the best  part of this vacation, the view from Fort Batenstein which is located 10 minutes away from the beach is  the most beautiful scenery I’ve seen by far.  

I loved every moment I spent out there, I admired the people, long walks rewarded with fresh coconut  juices and delicacies from the butre village nearby, and the immensely bright sunrises. 

My taste buds were appeased with the mouthwatering seafood platter on the menu at Hideout Lodge, it  is the best! 

The drive up this beach is satisfying, I loved the thick green palm trees and rubber plantations gracing  each side of the road. 

You would think that beach sunsets get boring after a while. Well, they don’t.  

It’s just like chocolate, the more you engage with it, the more you want it again and again. And like sand  between the toes, I can never say no to a beautiful sunset at the beach. I am addicted to sunsets. Butre  Beach had some of the stunning sunsets I’ve seen so far! 

This beach vacation wasn’t just another beach trip, I felt seen, loved and I felt damn sexy. And the sunsets? The food? Just romantic!
