I hate that I love you,
That your smile lights up the embers of my soul,
That your laughter eases me of my day’s burden,
And your gaze takes me to all nine planets and back.
I hate your alcohol-like effect on me,
How my insides jump and scream for joy at your touch,
How your forehead kisses calm me,
And that your fingers work the way they do when with me.
I hate how my defenses crumble at your hugs,
And that I often get lost in your hazel eyes,
And my pals think me mad sometimes
As I laugh randomly just at the memories of us.
I hate it all
Because now, thinking eludes me,
The line has become blurry,
And I’m at a loss on what to do with your wrongdoings
As the red flags have all turned to hot pink.

Such a beautiful piece?
It really is! So raw and vulnerable.
